The scrunchie is BACK!

Massive scrunchie alert on TOWIE!

Hello girls. YES. You read it correctly. The scrunchie....is back. Now if you were born in the late 90's early 2000 you might not know what is scrunchie. A scrunchie is a hair piece that was VERY popular 'back in the days' (I would say mid 80's/90's). Then, just like any other trends, it became very has been and so unpopular. I remember very vividly making fun (I'm not a mean girl I swear) of a girl wearing a scrunchie. It was like whaaaaaaaaaaat is she wearing OMG this is so old fashioned!. For my defense, she was wearing a very ugly velvety scrunchie on a low pony-tail, ok.

This year after watching my favourite UK tv show The Only Way is Essex, I spotted that Ferne was wearing scrunchies on her wrist and I was like 'oooooh this is really cool, it has a 80's vibe to it'. Since then, I have created my very own scrunchie (it is super easy to do!) and wearing it every single day. First of all, the scrunchie is SUPER comfortable. It doesn't tighten your hair too much and gives it a lot of volume when in a bun. Second of all, you can use it as an accessory and use fun patterns or excentric colors!


Hello les filles. Oui, oui c'est exact. Le chouchou is BACK. Ce fameux chou chou que nous avons + au - toutes portées pendant notre jeunesse (je parle pour la génération née dans les années 80-début 90) Si vous êtes des années 2000.... (ça me paraît jeune mais bon) un chouchou c'est un élatisque pour les cheveux recouvert d'un bout de tissu qui se portait couramment dans les années 80-début 90. Haha j'ai l'air has been là non? J'avoue, autant j'en ai porté quand j'étais petite, autant je m'en suis moquée quand j'étais 'ado'. Non mais la fille qui osait se ramener à l'école avec un chou chou dans les cheveux  = LA méga HONTE. Surtout qu'à l'époque il se portait sur une couette basse et plutôt du genre en velours et pas glam du tout!

Cette année, après avoir regarder un épisode de ma série UK préférée The Only Way is Essex, j'ai remarqué qu'une des filles de la série, Ferne, portait un chouchou autour de son poignet. Révélation! Le chouchou c'est super cool en fait. Déjà, quand y réfléchis bien, c'est hyper comfo pour les cheveux mais en plus il peut se porter comme un véritable accessoire de mode! J'ai fabriqué mon propre chouchou (c'est hyper simple!) et je ne le lâche plus depuis. Couette haute, chignon loose, chignon à la va vite....C'est mon côté année 80 en moi, je n'en peux rien!
