Exploring Santa Fe

 We have had a cold front for the last week or so here in CDMX which I find quite hard to go through - although I used to live in London and would feel much more colder for months at the time - I got so used to sunny and warm weather than now I seem to be less accommodating to 1 week of grey weather.

We had one sunny day in the midst of it and I decided to go explore Santa Fe - which is about 25 min Uber ride from Polanco - and went straight to La Mexicano park - a gorgeous recent place where you can stroll for hours and enjoy some food while enjoying the view.

It has a bit of a Central Park feel to it and I loved every minute of it.

I Love Jesus

 Have been really deep into bible study and scriptures the last few months, it brings me so much peace.

I wanted to make some notebooks for myself so I can write my love for Jesus and God, journal and pray.

I added them to my Etsy store as well - I added all of the pretty Mexican flowers to it and I am so happy with the result.

I hope it will inspire someone else to open their bible and find God within.

Girl gang

Looking back to exactly one year ago - I was going through a breakup and had a no girlfriend here in Mexico City as I was still pretty new to the city and made the mistake - eye roll - to be with my boyfriend at all times. I made sure to put it as a priority for the year forward and really prayed to God to bring me good, solid, authentic friendships and girlfriends. 

I am so grateful to have met some of these ladies in a very organic way and connected immediately.

I remember RAMONA from RHONY saying that men come and go but your girlfriends will be there with you forever - kinda just like sisters. Always listen to RAMONA!!

Dia de Los Muertos

 

Entering my dark era - Pluto finally entering my 8th house cusp sign. After transiting for the last time over my descendant... Dark hair and leather corset belt are in order. 

Beautiful celebrations all over cdmx for Dia de Los Muertos made me fall in love all over again with my new city.

Birthday in Cancun

 

Spent the most few fabulous days in Cancun - at the Atelier hotel which was the most pet friendly hotel ever. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay although it was getting a bit too humid at the end but it was super fun and beautiful.

There was a wedding going on that weekend as well - we got to witness the beautiful bride and guests. She managed to look stunning with all that humidity - respect.

Reason number one I would NEVER get married at the beach especially down there is the humidity my hair gets too crazy and it's impossible for me to look decent past one hour of doing my hair. lol

 Our evening in Rosewood was so romantic and magical.

Perfect time to whip out my rose extravagant top I have been waiting to wear since forever.

I paired it with my pearl satin skirt from H&M and flat sandals.

Night out in town

 Loved my outfit for my casual night out in San Miguel.

We went to a steakhouse then some bars around town.

These high waisted are PERFECT, no sign of any distress or ripped in sight which I love, it's very classic pair of denim shorts that I can pair up or down.

My little top is from the Zara sale and perfect linen material.

I had one of the best morning hiking my way through Desierto de Leones - which ended up turning like a perfect morning. 

The view was breathtaking and the quiet up there was something else. 

A needed change from the busy lifestyle of where I live in the city.

Living our best Mexican soap opera life and enjoying the good chisme that comes with it.

Life over here is truly like a soap opera at times, it's a pretty big change from the quiet and simple life of Belgium.

Feels like home

 Something about connecting with other women from your country abroad just hits different.

If you ever lived abroad on your own you know the culture difference sometimes can make you feel a bit alienated. There is nothing more recharging that a cosy girl night - with people from your culture - discussing the memories we all have from Belgium and laughing with inside jokes.

First closet edit

 

My very first closet edit with the beautiful Aleydis was a success - we managed to get rid of a LOT of old clothes that were outdated or just not fitted for her body shape and personality anymore. We went for a classic timeless - clean look. Staying away from patterns to start and recreating her a capsule wardrobe.

Tequila time

 This year really taught me how much I don't like any alcohol at all but I discovered that I can indulge in TEQUILA. When in Mexico... Low cal, an upper, kinda hot to sip on and after one glass of it you get that little buzz. I am planning to go visit Tequila later this year and have a girl's trip there, I can not wait.
